After have worked in IT support and travelled for some years, I have been working from home, therefore being a “mom-preneur”, doing websites since 2007, and now it's time to go to a higher level, and I decided to partner up with Martyna and Cyril to provide high-end professional services for a full digital experience.
I like to get involved in the WordPress community, as it's a pleasant way to give back to WordPress what WordPress allows me to accomplish with Virtuaza, and, in the future, with Interaction.Site and patriciabt.com.
I acquired a huge experience on WordPress and its ecoystem, as well as with online marketing and social networks, and I want your to benefit from my knowledge.
I co-organise the WordPress meetups in Geneva since 2013, I have been part of the WordCamps (conferences around WordPress) organisation teams in Geneva in 2016, Bern in 2017, Lausanne in 2018, and am part of the staff for the upcoming WordCamp Zurich 2019. I have also been a speaker, a volunteer at WCEU 2017 (among others WordCamps) or sponsor when I can.
I love community and human relations centered projects, and I like everything open-source which allows everyone to have their voices heard, I have these values in common with WordPress and its code of conduct.
With WordPress, I'm strong with integration, installation, plugin monitoring, migration or difficult restores, import from other CMS, and tinkering in the database. I'm less on design and development, so it's important to be in synergy with the people I choose to work with.
Aside from WordPress, I'm also part of a Toastmasters club to learn and improve public speaking. I'm starting my second year and have a lot of fun attending the meetings. I would like to use public speaking skills to share some of my ideas and to contribute, along with many others, for a better world, especially against intolerance or about climate change.
My everyday life is punctuated by my family life and various activities with my children, as well as good neighborhood relations in my “nice little suburban town” that is Versoix.
And when I find a little free time, I love to watch “popularised-science” channels on YouTube or American TV series of “post-apocalyptic” type or in dystopian worlds, in contradiction with my happy, very positive character and an optimism on the edge of utopia.
